"Periscope automatically integrates with my accounts package and my email system and I can get to it."

FAQ

Where do I start?

In the Contacts area first create a new organization. Then in the Projects area create your first project. Fill in the project notes and deliverables and Periscope will automatically generate a unique reference number. Then the fun starts. You can record time against the project in the Timesheet area, add a message to the job in the Project area or schedule some time on the job in the Schedule area.

How do I create a new contact?

Remember that before you can create a new contact Periscope likes to know what organization your contact works for. Create an organization first. Then create a new contact by clicking the 'create new contact' button in the Contact area.

What's the difference between a contact and an organisation?

Organizations are who your clients work for E.g. Apple. Clients are individuals who work for organizations E.g. Steve Jobs.

How do I attach a file?

In the Projects area click the 'Add file' button and follow the on-screen prompts. Dead easy!

How do I copy Periscope in on an email?

Every project you create in Periscope has a unique name/project reference code. Copy that into the subject line of your email. BCC Periscope into the list of email recipients and - voila! - Periscope will automatically record the email, attachments and all, as a new message within the project.

When should I write an invoice line?

You can add an invoice line to a project anytime but the best time to do it is as soon as your client has firmly placed their order. Transfer the details from your quote into the system and when the work's done simply change its status to 'Ready to invoice'.

Can I cancel anytime?

Absolutely anytime. You get the value one month at a time and you pay one month at a time. Fly free whenever you like but we'd love to hear your reasons at info@periscopehq.co.uk before you go. We're only as happy as our clients feel!
