Admin

Periscope’s Admin button is top right of screen. Clicking on it reveals the following 2 options:

Users

The first Periscope user in your organization will automatically appear on Periscope’s list of Users. You can edit existing users and Create new users. Maybe you’ve pioneered the use of Periscope and now want to roll it out across your team. Here’s the place to create User profiles for each of them. When you click submit they’ll receive an email notification from Periscope confirming that they are now Active Users.

To enable new Users to email messages and files directly into Periscope they will each need to click on the Admin button, select ‘Communication and Notifications’, copy the email address at the bottom of the screen and create a contact called ‘Periscope’ in their email program, assigning it the email address they just copied. Next time they email the client – or anyone else – about a Project they can BCC Periscope into the email and watch how Periscope magically imports the email into the project – attachments and all!

Communications & Notifications

Periscope can send automated email notifications to selected Users when:

  • New Prospects are created (helpful if you’re on the sales or marketing side of the business)
  • A Project’s status has been changed from Prospect to In Progress (great if you’re a Project Manager or in charge of Workflow)
  • A Project has reached 50%, 75% or 100% of its time budget (great for Business Owners, Operations Managers and Project Managers)

Email Integration

In order to email messages and files directly into Periscope you need to copy the email address in this panel, create a contact called ‘Periscope’ in your email program and assigning it this email address. Next time you email a client – or anyone else – about a Project you can BCC Periscope into the email and watch how Periscope magically imports the email into the project – attachments and all!
